Burr Elementary School
Project Location: Fairfield, Connecticut

Description: New 71,000 square foot elementary school. One and two-story structure on heavily wooded site. The building plan entails a curved façade as well as curved and circular landscaped courtyards and open spaces which introduce natural light to the building’s interior spaces. Exposed curved steel spandrel beams cap the curved façade. Structural steel frame with a composite floor framing system. Concentrically braced frames utilized to resist earthquake and wind loads.
